Transvideo Studios (Mountain View, CA) is seeking a full-time Jr. IT Tech.
Candidate would provide technical support and advice for our users as well as onsite and remote computer services. Position includes some on-the-job training.
Candidate should demonstrate good time management, the ability to work with a team, and a desire to acquire and share knowledge in a technical environment. Candidates must be consistent with company policies, goals, and objectives, and will report directly to the Senior Systems Administrator.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:- Communicate with users at all levels of technical knowledge.
- Provide support for a range of IT needs.
- Become familiar with available help resources.
- Document all work.
- Assists in the planning, design, documentation, and implementation of systems and databases.
- Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software as needed.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems; correct identified problems; replace defective components; and work with others to resolve issues.
- Analyze equipment in order to determine the need for repair or replacement.
- Train internal users in technology and application use.
- Use of power drills and other tools.
- Extended standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
- May be required to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Experience with Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server.
- Windows and Linux knowledge a plus.
- Video Editing / Audio Editing software knowledge a plus.
- Experience with web development
Candidates must possess the ability to work independently, responsibly, professionally, efficiently, and effectively in a fast-paced environment. Innovation, systemic thought, exemplary communication and customer service skills, the ability to learn quickly, and skillfully troubleshoot are essentials requirements of this position. Standard hours (8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with some nights and weekends, based on project requirements).
